One message: two names, or a request for a pair, plus the hotel, the time and the length. The checks do not change: the full name on your booking, the hotel, the number on the door. The deposit covers both fees at 25 percent. They arrive together, or a few minutes apart if you would rather they crossed the lobby separately. The balance for both is cash on arrival or a single transfer in advance.

Duos at the airport hotels

The airport rule applies to each companion. At Heathrow or Gatwick each needs the three hour minimum, travel included in those hours, and a pair can share one car, so the fare both ways is quoted once in the total. For Heathrow, a Paddington pair is the natural choice.

If one of the two drops out

Diaries change. If one companion can no longer make it, the desk tells you at once and offers another pair, or a single booking if you prefer, at the ordinary rate.
